Kirk Kaminsky serves as President of McKesson’s U.S. Pharmaceutical business, where he is dedicated to empowering stakeholders to support access to better, safer healthcare. He is also a member of McKesson’s Executive Operation Team.
Kirk possesses extensive expertise in driving solutions that address challenges across the healthcare continuum, from drug research and development to commercialization. As the President of U.S. Pharmaceuticals, he leads the company’s best-in-class wholesale drug distribution and value-added technology solutions for retail pharmacies, health systems, payers and community providers.
He also oversees McKesson’s portfolio of oncology and specialty solutions and services, aiming to improve cancer care for patients.
Since joining McKesson in 2003, Kirk has spent more than 20 years in various roles and functions throughout the business, gaining a keen understanding of McKesson’s impact in advancing health outcomes for all. Kirk previously led McKesson’s Specialty Provider Organization, a division of U.S. Pharmaceutical. He also served as President of The US Oncology Network, led the U.S. Pharmaceutical packaging business and was a member of the Corporate Strategy and Business Development function.
Kirk currently serves on the board and executive committee for the Healthcare Distribution Alliance and chairs the board for the Sarah Cannon Research Institute. He previously sat on the boards for the National Association of Drug Stores (NACDS) and Medfusion.
Prior to joining McKesson, Kirk worked in investment banking as a financial analyst, concentrating on corporate finance for healthcare and consumer retail.
Kirk holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics for Business from Occidental College and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School.
