Ammie McAsey leads McKesson’s distribution strategy across the U.S. for brand, generic and specialty pharmaceuticals. Her responsibilities include oversight of more than 30 distribution locations, seven central fill pharmacies, transportation services, network design and customer support.
In addition, McAsey supports McKesson’s initiatives to provide COVID-19 vaccines and ancillary supply kits on behalf of the U.S. government. The company is operating as a centralized distributor for COVID-19 vaccines and ancillary supply kits, and it added more than 3.3 million square feet of distribution center space to the distribution network to manage the scale of the project.
McAsey has held a number of roles within McKesson, most recently serving as the vice president and general manager of the Strategic Distribution Centers that are comprised of the National Redistribution Center in Olive Branch, MS, the Memphis Strategic Center in Memphis, TN and the Strategic Redistribution Center in Aurora, CO. In this role, she led supply chain synergies with McKesson’s national buying center, vendors, forward distribution centers and customers.
Prior to joining McKesson, McAsey worked for Coca-Cola, Home Depot, Russell Corporation and DSC Logistics in various supply chain and logistics positions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Creighton University.
