Chris Van Norman oversees all U.S. Pharmaceutical distribution including two McKesson strategic centers, the 26 forward distribution centers, the six central fill locations, the Specialty/CDC locations, as well as the Industrial Engineering team. He is the operations leader for all core distribution within the Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services network.
Van Norman moved into his current position in November 2020. Prior to his current role, he was the general manager of Strategic Operations for McKesson, where he was responsible for McKesson’s strategic redistribution centers in Olive Branch, MS and Aurora, CO. These two locations are the delivery point for 90% of McKesson’s inbound shipments from pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Van Norman joined McKesson in 2007 as a senior industrial engineer overseeing the corporate industrial engineering team who performed design and efficiency initiatives across their distribution center network He moved into distribution center management in 2009 where he held positions of assistant director of operations at McKesson’s Aurora, IL center, distribution center manager at McKesson’s Livonia, MI center, and director of operations in starting up McKesson’s highest volume distribution center in Clear Lake, IA.
Van Norman holds an industrial engineering degree from Purdue University.
